This is what I love to do.
I love to tell stories.
To write.
To design.
To photograph.
To manage.
To edit.
I am a stickler for AP Style.
A red-pen fool.
A news junkie.
A creative creature.
A scrapbooker.
I have several years of experience in not-for-profit public relations and communications in the Indianapolis area. (See my resume.)
I was once:
The not-for-profit world has been good to me. Because I held a wide variety of responsibilities at each of these organizations, I have had consistent and growing experience in each of the various job duties that can fall under communications (and, if you’ve been in my shoes, you know that everything can potentially fall under communications!).
I have produced award-winning community newsletters as well as internal newsletters.
I have earned my organization national media attention as a result of my media relations efforts.
I have done everything from creating fliers to coordinating local and national media relations efforts for an event that attracts around 25,000 people to Monument Circle each year (Christ Church Cathedral Strawberry Festival).
I have consistently succeeded in finishing individual projects and entire years of multiple projects under budget.
And I have loved every minute of it.
{My husband and I are also the parents of two – perhaps my (and our) greatest accomplishments.}
